2006 Capital Campaign

A Plan to Strengthen our Ministry and Expand our Building

Spiritual Foundations

As a community of followers of Jesus, Bay View Lutheran Church is rooted in the faith
that Jesus brings love, peace, forgiveness and salvation to each of us and our world. We
celebrate with joy the redeeming grace of Jesus through our mission as we live, learn,
share and celebrate our faith through worship and ministry.

The hallmarks of Bay View are spiritual growth for our members and outreach to
 the community. Our vision, mission and goals state that by our 125^th anniversary in
 2008, an expanded physical facility will have been completed to help us achieve this ministry.

Campaign Goal

The goal of this Campaign is to secure $500,000 in gifts of cash, securities, and other
 assets through immediate gifts and three year pledges. These gifts will not cover the
entire cost of the project. A mortgage will be needed to complete the work.

Building Needs

· Education – additional classrooms

· Support Ministries -  educational office and storage rooms

· Library/Computer Room

· Kitchen Space for education

· Fellowship/Hospitality – an activity area and a music and multi-media room

· Exterior – the new educational wing will blend with the present church building.

Faithful Response

With the faithful response of all Bay View members, this Campaign will enable us to
 improve and expand our facilities and allow us to more faithfully and effectively fulfill
 our ministries and mission. Upon completion of this Campaign, the Building Committee
 will finalize the building proposal.

Giving Opportunity

During the months of September and October members of our congregation will be
 asking people to join in financially supporting the campaign. The goal is to have the
 campaign completed by the end of October.
